I've Had An Amazing Opportunity

Wigton YFC’s previous co-secretary Chloe Brough has just returned from volunteering in Jamaica with the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs & Projects Abroad alongside 7 other YFC members from across England & Wales.
While in Jamaica Chloe volunteered at The Mustard Seed Community Project & Ebenezer Rehabilitation Centre where she cleared land, planted veg and spent time with the residents & helped at a local day care centre as well as handing out the donations she brought from home.
She also took part in a patois class, dance class, cooking class & tour of Unity Boer Goat Farm. In their spare time the volunteers visited Ocho Rios beach & craft market, Treasure Beach & YS Falls.
Chloe said “volunteering with NFYFC & Projects Abroad has allowed me to visit & experience an amazing country with likeminded people while providing support to local organisations.
I strongly recommend that every YFC member looks into the NFYFC travel programme. Thank you to NFYFC & Projects Abroad for providing this opportunity and the amazing group of friends I have made.
If anyone is interested in the NFYFC travel programme or has any questions, please feel free to pop me a message.”
We are all glad to see Chloe has enjoyed her time in Jamaica.
