“Fidalgo”, “Torfle” and “Pottle” were just some of the words the Cumbrian Young Farmers had to explain in the County Final of Call My Bluff.

Judges Ian Powley and Frank Chester said they had had a highly entertaining evening and the competition had been difficult to judge as all the teams had been amusing in their descriptions.  However, for their public speaking ability, Crook’s team of Sarah Carruthers, Vicci Neil and Tom Redmayne were placed 1st with Lucy Cowen, Rachel Beaty and Amy Raven from Raughton Head YFC placed equal 2nd alongside Lucy and Laura Mason and Emma Littlewood from Kent Estuary.

This is the last public speaking competition of the season with Clubs now busily preparing for the Field Days which this year will be held at Rigmaden Farm, Mansergh on 14th May and High Oaks, Calthwaite on 21st May.
